Let's face it folks, there isn't much we can do to bring down the price of gasoline tomorrow or the day after tomorrow for that matter. We can put pressure on our elected politicians to allow drilling but, that will take time.
The government needs the tax revenue really badly! Higher gas prices equal higher prices for jut about everything else and this translates to higher taxes!
We need to ease the pain right now! I'd like this blog to be a forum for ideas.
Please post your suggestions...

My 2 cents,
With gas prices hovering around 4.50 a gallon in NY, people search out the "cheapest" gas stations and spend about 10 minutes on line to be able save 2 cents per gallon.
I switched to AMSOIL Synthetic 0W20 Extended Drain engine oil a year ago in June of 2007. AMSOIL Synthetic 0W-20 Motor Oil can extend drain intervals far beyond those recommended for conventional oils. Its unique synthetic formulation and long drain additive system are very stable, resisting oxidation and neutralizing acids. AMSOIL ASM delivers the best possible engine protection, cleanliness and performance over extended drain intervals, reducing vehicle maintenance and waste oil disposal costs. Under normal driving conditions and with AMSOIL's Ea oil filter the recommended drain interval is 25,000 miles or one year!
My gas mileage immediately improved by 10% (at current prices that’s about 45 cents per gallon…) and I am also saving by not having to change the oil 8 times a year!
